Hierarchical Model of Architecture of Supercomputer Systems for Comparison and Ranking

The task of comparing the capabilities computing systems with each other and forming various ratings has many possible goals. Here, there is identification trends, promotion proven general-purpose architectures, demonstration superiority in a certain class tasks, etc. It is, course, not enough to describe achieved performance for all these purposes, rankings comparisons use different levels abstraction generalization up that level, which would allow associate identified indicators features system. In practice, descriptions architectural peculiarities are rather scarce, authors work solve problem development formal description computer relatively high which, at same time, increase required level detail, corresponding goals applied research. Such hierarchical system model been proposed tested on well-known from Top50 Top500 lists.
